The 26-year-old star is also signed to RCA Records and hopes to get into the studio with the former boybander.
He recently duetted with Rita Ora and now it seems Chris Brown has his sights set on working with Zayn Malik.
The controversial star, who dropped new track Body On Me this month, has opened up about wanting to help the former One Direction star launch his solo career after he signed a deal with RCA Records.
Speaking to Capital FM’s Max, he said: “Zayn, yeah my homeboy. We’re on the same label now yeah.”
“Of course, of course, [I’d work with him]. I don’t shy away from anyone and I think he’s a great artist.
“Now he’s doing his solo thing, I know he has a huge fan base and the fans are waiting to hear his stuff, so it would be cool to get down and collab.
“I’m not a hard guy to get in the studio with, I’m on everybody’s songs, so any time.”
Zayn has been tweeting his excitement about working on his debut solo record this week, writing: “Gonna get this done for you !! I promise this album will be amazing.”
He’s been in the studio with a number of artists while spending time in Los Angeles this month, just weeks after he reportedly dumped fiancée Perrie Edwards via TEXT message. Harsh.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown, 26, also revealed he is now more protective of women after becoming a father to little Royalty. It’s about time.
He said: “When I was younger, like 16, 17, I would get on stage and it would be a great feeling to feel that crowd but to see somebody who is a part of you look in your eyes it’s a little different.
“I love the stage but being a father is my full-time job and I just want to be in my daughter’s life. I want to teach her to stay away from guys like me.”
Hmmm, it seems like 22-year-old Zayn could learn more than just solo career tips from Chris.
