Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux married in a secret ceremony last week, and although few details and no photos of the event have been released, it’s now a little easier to picture it all thanks to one chatty guest.
Howard Stern opened up about the big-day details on his SiriusXM radio show Monday.
During a wedding speech, Stern raved about the groom, saying, “If one of my daughters brought home a guy like Justin, I’d be very pleased.”
“I talked about some personal stuff, too,” the shock jock recalled. “I complimented Justin’s mother on raising such a wonderful son. I love him. … I told Jennifer that she deserved a guy like this, because after all, she’s been very sweet and generous with us. But Justin and his body, his abs, his a– — look at him. I’m giddy over him!”
While he was wild about the groom, Stern wasn’t so wild about one of the wedding rules: no phones.
“Why can’t I have my cell phone?” he ranted before the couple swapped vows. “I don’t want to take a picture of you two! I really don’t. I want my cell phone so after I make this speech, I can call my car and get the f— out of here!”
Instead, he spent plenty of time enjoying the top-secret event, which was billed as a birthday party before guests arrived.
“It was always called a birthday party,” Stern explained. “Whenever you got an email, it was a birthday party. They’re so secretive that they even had the wedding on a Wednesday because nobody gets married on a Wednesday.”
And no one has a celebrity officiant at their birthday party either. Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel did the honors for Aniston and Theroux’s wedding.
“Jimmy was the preacher. I didn’t think he’d get through it,” Stern said, joking that “Jimmy’s still depressed about that lion getting killed over in Africa.”
Other guests in attendance included Ellen DeGeneres, Courteney Cox, Tobey Maguire and Orlando Bloom. Stern even sat next to one those big stars without realizing it.
“So I’m sitting and talking to this guy — interesting dude,” he remembered. “We’re hitting it off and talking for a long time. I said, ‘What is your name?’ He says, ‘Orlando.'”
And he and his tablemate hit it off even more on the dance floor when singer Sia took the stage.
“I run to Orlando and say, ‘Orlando, first dance!'” he said. “So Orlando grabbed me so tight, I thought my bones were going to break.”
Sounds like it was a day to remember for everyone!
