Kate Moss’s ex and the reformed band are releasing a new album, Anthems for Doomed Youth, next month.
Libertines frontman and self-confessed addict Pete Doherty is to take his drugs counsellor on tour.
Kate Moss’s ex-boyfriend completed a stint in rehab in Thailand to prepare for gigs in the autumn and the release next month of the band’s new album, Anthems for Doomed Youth.
Now Dylan Kerr will accompany the band on the road to Mexico and beyond in November.
Speaking of his difficult relationship with Doherty, 36, bandmate Carl Barat, said: “I was a messed-up kid but, yeah, I grew up.”
Pete added: “You’ll discover when you hear all the tunes that we have put stuff behind us.”
Speaking in a magazine interview, Carl, 37, said he hoped his bandmate was now clean for good but warned: “That’s not really how recovery works.
“It’s always two steps forward and one step back. If you’re lucky.”
